GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOBReporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the IT Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and administration of the organization's Windows Server and Windows workstation environments. This role focuses on Active Directory administration, Microsoft 365 services, endpoint management, and the ongoing maintenance and support of enterprise Windows infrastructure. The position also serves as an escalation point between the Desktop Support team and the Infrastructure team, providing advanced troubleshooting, issue resolution, and coordination to ensure the timely resolution of complex technical issues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHEALTH AND SAFETYWork in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Cementation.Be aware of any health and safety hazards or infractions and report same to the Health and Safety Department.Keep the IT office and server room tidy and clean. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESAdminister and maintain Windows Server environments, including routine maintenance, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.Manage Active Directory, including user and computer accounts, security groups, Organizational Units (OUs), and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).Support Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, licensing, and user management.Manage Microsoft licensing and subscription renewals, including Microsoft 365, Windows, and other related software licenses, ensuring license compliance, optimization, and timely renewals.Manage IT system and software maintenance agreements, subscriptions, certifications, and support renewals, ensuring compliance, timely renewal, and uninterrupted vendor support.Manage Microsoft Entra ID identities, security groups, and device registration.Manage endpoint deployment, imaging, application deployment, patch management, and device lifecycle activities using enterprise management tools.Maintain and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, desktop applications, and endpoint hardware.Monitor server and workstation health and perform proactive maintenance to ensure system reliability and performance.Perform daily system health checks, review monitoring dashboards and alerts, investigate issues, and take appropriate action or escalate as required to ensure the stability and availability of IT systems and services.Support and administer core Microsoft infrastructure services, including DNS, DHCP, file servers, print servers, and Group Policy.Act as an escalation point between the Desktop Support team and the Infrastructure team.Troubleshoot and resolve escalated Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and endpoint-related incidents in accordance with established SLAs.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks where appropriate.Participate in infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh projects, and Microsoft platform implementations.Maintain accurate technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration records.Contribute to technical knowledge base articles and process improvements.Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, procedures, and documentation to enhance compliance, operational efficiency, and adherence to industry best practices. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSOccasional travel to project sites and office locations.Willingness and ability to travel within the United States and internationally as required.  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE College degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or a related field.2+ years of experience supporting Windows Server and Windows desktop environments.Experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.Microsoft certifications such as Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent certifications are considered an asset.  ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).  SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIESStrong knowledge of Windows Server administration and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.Experience supporting enterprise Windows workstation environments.Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Entra ID.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Good understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and cloud identity management.Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, VPN technologies, and network troubleshooting.Experience with file server administration, data classification, and data governance practices is considered a strong asset.Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, develop new skills, and adapt to evolving business and technical requirements.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects and assigned tasks within established deadlines.Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Ability to safely lift, carry, and install IT equipment, including servers.Willingness and ability to perform additional duties including site establishment and decommissioning.Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders.Valid driver's license.Ability and willingness to obtain a passport and travel internationally as business requirements evolve.Strong
