Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to provide comprehensive network support across multiple customer sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LAN and WLAN administration, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a deep understanding of network operations in dynamic environments. As part of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Administration: Oversee LAN and WLAN operations, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Wireless Technology Support: Provide operational support for wireless technologies in warehouse and operational settings.
  • Day-to-Day Network Operations: Manage daily network activities at supported customer sites, including site start-ups and ongoing maintenance.
  • Network Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance to ensure maximum up-time and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Break/Fix Support: Respond to and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with engineering, IT, and enterprise network teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Network Management Tools: Administer and support Cisco network management platforms (Cisco Prime LMS, WCS, Radius, Tacacs).
  • Asset Management: Oversee the tracking and management of LAN/WLAN hardware, including surplus equipment.

Technical Skills Required:
  • Extensive experience with LAN/WLAN administration and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco hardware configuration, including routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers, and network monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in network management and continuous improvement, including software maintenance and upgrades.
  • Strong understanding of WAN, DNS/DHCP, data cabling, and network hardware installation.
  • Expertise in cable management and knowledge of industry standards.
  • Experience with IP Phones, PRI, Analog Lines, and POTS Lines.
  • Solid understanding of PA Systems.
  • Proficient in Cisco Prime, Cisco WCS, and other network monitoring platforms.
  • Experience in the planning, design, and implementation of LAN and wireless networks, including configuration of DHCP and DNS services.
  • Familiarity with the programming and monitoring of Cisco network equipment.
  • Ability to plan, design, and upgrade existing networks in accordance with customer enterprise network and security requirements.
  • Support for WAN implementations, including collaboration with other network teams.
  • Knowledge of power requirements and standards for network equipment in TCOMM rooms.
  • Expertise with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, wireless access points).

Desired Skills:
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCDA) preferred.
  • Experience in LAN/WLAN implementations during site start-ups.
  • Proven track record supporting LAN/WAN implementations in remote locations or multi-site environments.

Soft Skills Required:
  • Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to effectively address client needs and concerns.

Education & Experience:
  • Associate's degree in Computer Networking or a related field.
