Role Summary
Providing advanced network engineering support, the CCNP Network Engineer plays a key role in enterprise-wide network refresh projects. This full-time, on-site position involves configuring, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance across LAN and WAN environments in a dynamic manufacturing and corporate setting. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical network upgrades and ensure stability during major infrastructure updates over an 18-month engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise-wide network refresh activities, including design, configuration, and deployment of LAN and WAN infrastructure.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade Cisco switches and routers in accordance with enterprise standards.
  • Assist with site readiness assessments, pre-cutover preparations, and post-cutover stabilization efforts.
  • Implement and validate network changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Support network connectivity across corporate, core, and manufacturing sites to maintain operational stability.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and topologies according to documentation standards.
  • Participate in change management processes, including change requests, testing, and approvals.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth network transitions and upgrades.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing and updating network standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Active Cisco CCNP certification (Routing & Switching or Enterprise) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
  • Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, including switching, routing, and WAN protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IOS/IOS-XE routers and switches.
  • Familiarity with enterprise network refresh projects, migration planning, and change management processes.
  • Knowledge of network standards, documentation practices, and configuration management.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or distributed site environments is advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex network issues quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Must be available to work onsite in Warren, MI, five days per week for the duration of the engagement.

Publishing Pay Range: $55.00 - $58.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
