Job Summary:

The Senior Counsel – Sales Operations provides strategic legal support to a multinational manufacturer’s North American sales organization. This role advises on daytoday commercial activities, promotional initiatives, employment matters, and corporate governance. Acting as a key partner and deputy to the Head of Legal, the Senior Counsel helps optimize policies and processes while mentoring junior staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Counsel sales teams on commercial contracts, pricing programs, promotions, and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Review and negotiate sales, distribution, supply, and marketing agreements.
  • Provide guidance on advertising, promotional materials, and product claims.
  • Support corporate governance, compliance programs, and employment-related matters.
  • Improve legal processes, develop templates and playbooks, and support operational efficiency.
  • Mentor junior legal talent and serve as a strategic sounding board to the Head of Legal.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • J.D. degree and license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 10+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting.
  • Strong commercial contracting and business counseling experience.
