As we continue to expand, we’re looking for driven, passionate individuals to join our team. Right now, we have an exciting opening for a Manufacturing Engineer at our new Stoughton MA location. 

Job Summary: Responsible for providing shop floor support to resolve day-to-day issues that arise as well as to assist with new product introduction activities as directed. Participation in new mold tooling startup and production line/process optimization activities will be required

Functions: 

  • Provide technical support to the production floor as required. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Handling day-to-day assembly / testing issues (CAPA resolution)
    • Interfacing with customer engineers to support product changes and new product introduction
    • Maintenance of all line documentation including technical specifications and work instructions
    • Management of all label files and label printing activities
  • Generate and maintain assembly instructions for the manufacturing process for new and existing products made in the Stoughton facility.
  • Manufacturing standards (rate and work center information) for new and existing products.
  • Identification and initiation of tasks for the design and fabrication of assembly aids and fixtures for new and existing products.
  • Manufacturing cell layout of production processes for new and existing products.
  • Release to production of qualified manufacturing processes for new and modified products.
  • Implement desired process changes for new and existing products as assigned.
  • CAPA (corrective and preventive action) for manufacturing issues that may arise for new and existing products.
  • Generation of PFMEA’s for new or modified existing products.
  • Represent manufacturing / operations in design reviews and risk management planning activities as required.
  • Training of manufacturing personnel as required for new and modified manufacturing process flows.
  • Provide technical support, training and supervision for junior members of the Manufacturing Engineering Team.

Skills/Qualifications Needed:

  • Strong process control background including use of SPC techniques
  • Cable processing and contact termination background
  • Ability to interpret Engineering specifications
  • Knowledge of IPC standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, associate’s degree in engineering with minimum 5 years’ related experience, or minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering or related field with additional technical training. 

Desired Skills:

  • Plastic part design knowledge
  • Plastic processing knowledge
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • CAD (SolidWorks experience a plus)
