Job Description

The AI/ML Engineer's role is to design, develop, and deploy machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions that improve production efficiency, product quality, and decision-making across the company's manufacturing operations, translating operational and business needs into scalable, production-ready models and data-driven applications.

Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  •   Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  •   Project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  •   Self-driven with a continuous-learning mindset.
  •   Comfort working with sensor and scanner data
  •   Experience with optimization techniques (linear/nonlinear programming, heuristics) relevant to cut planning or scheduling problems
  •   Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  •   Experience with SQL and data pipeline/orchestration tools (Airflow, Spark)
  •   Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and MLOps tools (MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or AI engineering, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or process industry environment
  • Experience building and deploying computer vision or predictive maintenance models
  • Prior exposure to wood-based panel manufacturing (MDF, particleboard, OSB), laminate flooring production, or UF/MUF resin production
  • Experience building and deploying computer vision or predictive maintenance models
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Grafana)
