Job description

Compass Pointe Loan Processor:

Compass Pointe Consulting is seeking an experienced Loan Processor to support customers throughout the mortgage process. This individual will coordinate with borrowers, loan officers, sales teams, underwriters, and closing personnel to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and processed on schedule.
The Loan Processor will manage multiple loan files, collect required documentation, monitor outstanding items, and keep customers and internal partners informed throughout the process.
This is an on-site position based in a mortgage office.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage residential mortgage files from application through closing
Maintain regular communication with borrowers and internal business partners
Collect, review, and record borrower and property documentation
Set up loan files and order required items, including credit reports, employment verifications, deposit verifications, appraisals, and other exhibits
Identify missing or incomplete documentation and follow up promptly
Monitor submitted and pending loans to ensure deadlines are met
Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, sales teams, and closing personnel
Prepare closing paperwork and verify loan files for accuracy and completeness
Maintain accurate records and follow applicable lending and compliance procedures
Provide responsive, professional customer service throughout the mortgage process

Qualifications
At least two years of mortgage loan-processing experience preferred
Knowledge of real estate documentation, underwriting guidelines, compliance requirements, and mortgage procedures preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple loan files and competing deadlines
