Overview

This is a senior-level network engineering role supporting a mission-critical government environment. The position focuses on network infrastructure management, network security, cross-domain solutions, and modernization efforts, while serving as the primary technical expert for enterprise networking operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the ITP network infrastructure, perform routine maintenance activities, and provide guidance on upgrades and system recapitalization.
  • Oversee High Speed Guard Cross Domain solution supporting data transfer between multiple classification domains.
  • Support all documentation to effectively capture the configuration baseline.
  • Design and support system recapitalization plans to accommodate capacity growth and changes as directed by the customer.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all ITP network infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
  • Experience deploying and managing LAN and WAN Switches and Firewalls, including Cisco 2900, 4500, 9300, 9400, 6800, Nexus 9000, and Cisco Firepower, ASA.
  • Strong knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, network security architecture, and common security elements.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment.
  • Experience with incident lifecycle management, incident response, and mitigation strategies.
  • Network management experience with Solarwinds, WhatsUP Gold, NetQoS, NetBrain; familiar with VMWARE, Linux, Microsoft Server, and Active Directory.
  • Ability to build firewall policies and optimize rules for threat prevention.
  • Support for ATO reviews and audits.
  • Ability to obtain DHS EOD SCI clearance.
  • Education: BS degree; preferred Master's in IT Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
