Piper Companies is seeking a Software Developer Technical Lead to support secure, cloud-native SaaS platforms for public sector and government customers. The Software Developer Technical Lead role partners with a government-focused technology organization and offers the opportunity to lead architecture, development, and delivery of highly secure cloud services. This role is a remote opportunity but requires you to live in Raleigh, NC. Responsibilities of the Software Developer Technical Lead: * Provide technical leadership for a development team building secure, highly available cloud-native services.
  • Drive system architecture, technical vision, and hands-on development efforts.
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, IaaS, and security teams to deliver compliant cloud solutions.
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and security requirements are met across releases.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements of the Software Developer Technical Lead: * Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 7+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership and architecture ownership.
  • Strong experience across the full SDLC using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, Java, C#, or JavaScript).
  • Experience delivering cloud-native solutions in regulated government or public cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
Compensation for the Software Developer Technical Lead: * $180,000 - $200,000 base salary + Bonus + stock
