Infrastructure & Platform Services builds and runs the technology foundation for EA's games. Our teams deliver the live services and backend infrastructure that are used to ship, scale, and operate secure, reliable game experiences for millions of players worldwide.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report to the Director, Service Enablement.

Responsibilities

  • You will design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and automation services to manage platform operations.
  • You will implement GitOps-based deployments using ArgoCD or similar tools to ensure declarative, reliable automation.
  • You will collaborate with Platform, Security, and DevOps teams to define APIs and automation standards for infrastructure services.
  • You will ensure the reliability, performance, and observability of automation workflows using metrics, tracing, and logging.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines and the ability to mentor junior engineers on software design patterns.
  • You will contribute to architecture design, documentation, and best practices for infrastructure automation.
  • You will stay current with latest tools and practices in automation, Kubernetes, and DevOps ecosystems.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years designing and building production software systems
  • Expertise in Golang
  • Experience coding in at least one object-oriented language, such as Java or C++
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Linux-based systems
  • Experience collaborating in Agile/DevOps environments and working with infrastructure and security teams
  • Solid knowledge of version control, automated testing, and code quality best practices
  • Experience with software release management and semantic versioning
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts and failure modes
