Job Title Senior Java API Developer
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java API Developer with 6 to 8 years of hands on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise grade RESTful APIs and microservices. The role focuses on building secure, scalable, and high performance backend applications that support digital banking and enterprise platforms. The developer will work closely with cross functional teams to deliver reliable cloud native solutions while contributing to application modernization, API strategy, and engineering best practices. Experience in the Retail Banking domain is highly preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and Java based microservices. Build scalable and secure backend applications following enterprise development standards. Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high quality solutions. Integrate applications with internal and external systems using APIs and enterprise integration technologies. Participate in system design, code reviews, performance tuning, production support, and application optimization. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to improve software quality and reliability. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions. Ensure compliance with banking security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
