Job Description

Responsibilities:

Develops, implements, and maintains systems that conform to PRA's information technology principles, architecture, and strategies

Participates in design sessions and provides input on the software solution.

Debugs problems with information systems using a variety of analytical skills, techniques, and resources

Follows directives and standards on programming style and documentation

Provides training, technical support, and documentation of information systems to peers and end users

Routinely communicates status (problems encountered, and time remaining to complete) to the team and stakeholders

Provide guidance on technical issues and design issues and mentor junior team members.

Be proactive in software design/architecture, working closely with principals, architects and software engineers to come up with the right solution to the problem.

Develop software, integrate systems, and support solutions based on our Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform. 

Develop SOA applications built off the J2EE based SOA technology Stack, canonical data model, and canonical messages. 

Develop and test new functionality, ensure a high level of application availability, and provide support to other IT staff. 

Test and implement system changes, upgrades, and patches. 

Work with stakeholders and business users to deliver new functionality. 

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues. Maintain System Design Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation. 

Provide leadership in establishing coding standards and programming conventions. 

Lead the design and architectural discussion. 

Mentor junior members of the team.

Qualifications

Skills: 

Very strong in Core Java, J2EE, Spring

Hands on experience in creating/consuming Java web services (Both RestFul and SOAP based), Java APIs, Interfaces, Wrappers, WSDLs

Work experience on WebSphere application server is must

Experience in providing enterprise architectural solution to Java projects

Experience in using tools like code review, code coverage, memory leakage, application performance, JIRA, Confluence

Should be self started and lead project deliverables independently 

Excellent communication skills
