This role is withProductivity Pilot, a sister company under the Red Hawk Technologies family, focused on building modern, AI-centric product solutions. Note the position is hybrid - three days on site in Mason, Ohio, with the rest of your time remote.

We are seeking a highly creative, self-motivated Senior / Lead Software Engineer with 20+ years of experience to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced startup product environment, comfortably managing complex legacy web infrastructure while driving modern, cross-platform, AI-centric cloud initiatives.

In this role, you'll act as a technical pillar - leading and mentoring engineering teams, driving product delivery, and guiding the transition from traditional Microsoft web architectures to cutting-edge cloud-native, serverless, AI-centric web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Product Delivery

  • Serve as a technical leader within national, cross-functional engineering teams, mentoring junior and mid-level developers and driving strong communication and teamwork.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, business stakeholders, and customers to align technical implementations with product lifecycle, delivery timelines, and user experience goals.
  • Lead pair programming sessions to resolve complex issues, and implement strict observability, code coverage, and vulnerability testing - leveraging AI-assisted development tools like Claude, Cursor, and CodeRabbit.
  • Produce technical documentation, investigation reports, QA testing frameworks, and user/developer guides from scratch.

Cloud & Microservices Engineering

  • Design and develop scalable microservices and processing pipelines using C#, TypeScript, and similar languages, deploying across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Build robust APIs and integrate with a variety of modern and legacy third-party systems.

Full-Stack Web Development

  • Build modern, responsive front-ends using Angular, Vue, TypeScript, and .NET, incorporating real-time protocols like SignalR.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 20+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record as both a solo developer and a technical team leader.
  • Experience within an established software product organization, with a strong understanding of scaling software, Domain-Driven Design, and user-centric workflows.
  • Proven ability to guide technical design decisions, choose optimal engineering solutions, and mentor team members through complex framework dependencies.
  • Strong skills in C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, and SQL.
  • Experience with Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and Git across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core, MVC, Angular, Vue, WPF, WCF, and gRPC.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Location:

  • Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site in our Cincinnati (Mason), OH office.

We offer:

  • $120,000 salary, full-time with full benefits.
