As a web developer, the SPA will be responsible for the implementation of improvements and enhancements to the Client Portal. The consultant will be assisting the business to define their needs and effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications and application design. The consultant should have excellent technical and analytical skills.
The consultant must have the following qualifications:
• Five (5) plus years professional experience using web technologies, such as J2EE, Java, JSP, Servlets, JavaScript, JSF, WSDL, XML, HTML, XSD, XSLT, AJAX, SOAPUI, web services;
• Solid knowledge in object oriented methodology using JAVA;
• Knowledge in web service development;
• Experience in XML technologies;
• Good understanding of J2EE design patterns and ability to build Java EE applications using model-view-controller (MVC) design pattern;
• Interested in adopting and acquiring new technologies;
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies;
• Experience working with relational databases;
• BS in computer science or equivalent, Masters is a plus;
• Experience with SQL and database concepts;
• Experience with version control tools like SVN, CVS;
• Experience in using IDEs, such as Eclipse;
• Experience in Windows, Linux operating environments;
• Certification in Java is a plus;
• Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic is a plus;
• Good analytical and problem solving skills;
• J2EE Experience:
• Experience with Web Development using JSP, HTML, CSS, Java and supporting tools;
• Experience with J2EE, Spring Security, Spring MVC, Apache CXF, Hibernate frameworks;
• Experience in databases like Oracle, MySQL;
• Experience in developing Web Services; and
• Good knowledge of XSL, WSDL, XSLT and other XML technologies.
