RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java Developer in Doral, FL (Florida).
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to support and enhance business-critical enterprise applications while leading modernization efforts toward API-driven and microservices-based architectures. This role will be responsible for maintaining existing systems, driving application modernization initiatives, troubleshooting complex production issues, and providing technical leadership across development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support, maintain, and enhance existing enterprise applications to ensure reliability and performance
* Lead modernization initiatives by migrating legacy systems to RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and complex integration challenges
* Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design documentation
* Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to project teams
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
* Utilize approved AI tools to improve software development efficiency, automation, and productivity
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot
* 5+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies, including ADF, Oracle BPM, SOA Suite, and WebLogic
* Strong PL/SQL development and debugging experience
* Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
* Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
* Deep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and API development
* Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Bitbucket and Bamboo
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Proven ability to work effectively in Agile development environments
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with identity and authentication technologies
* Familiarity with legacy Java UI frameworks, including Struts, JSF, and JSP
* Experience supporting large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
