Role Summary
As a Full Stack Developer Senior, you will design, build, test, and support secure, reliable web applications that create meaningful experiences for our clients and employees. You'll work on complex projects, explore emerging technologies, and have opportunities to lead development efforts while mentoring other developers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design and develop complex, scalable web applications and services using modern development practices and technologies.

  • Build and maintain reliable, accessible, and responsive applications that support Associated Bank's digital and API strategies.

  • Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into effective application solutions.

  • Code, test, debug, document, and deploy application components and deployment scripts to ensure high-quality results.

  • Lead development projects and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and consultants to integrate new technologies and improve existing applications.

  • Evaluate emerging technology stacks, open-source libraries, design patterns, and development practices to identify opportunities for innovation.

  • Mentor junior and new developers by sharing technical knowledge, development practices, and user-centered design principles.

  • Ensure applications provide consistent, intuitive experiences across browsers, devices, and computing platforms.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 6+ years of experience developing or designing component-based web, mobile, or desktop applications.

  • Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles.

  • Advanced experience with JavaScript, including Node.js, React, Angular, and modern build tools.

  • Strong experience with HTML, CSS, and CSS preprocessors.

Preferred

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Experience with C#, .NET, Java, Python, PHP, SQL, or other modern programming languages.

  • Experience with responsive web design and accessibility standards.
