Job description

As a Senior Java Developer for a Randstad client in Wilmington, DE, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level, cloud-native solutions within the passenger rail transportation sector. Your role will involve collaborating with clients to analyze business requirements and architect IT solutions, as well as developing and implementing high-performance applications using Java and AWS technologies. You will also ensure ongoing system maintenance, problem resolution, and testing support while leveraging Test Driven Development methodologies.
Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and Design Support:
    • Engage in client discussions to support the technical analysis of business requirements and priorities.
    • Conduct analysis, design, documentation, and implementation for complex IT projects related to passenger rail transportation.
    • Architect and design IT solutions to meet functional and technical requirements.
    • Prepare and deliver various technical documents, including sizing, external design, and detailed design documents.
  • Application Development:
    • Design, develop, test, and implement cloud-native, enterprise-level services with a focus on high availability and performance.
    • Integrate and develop Kafka streams for real-time data processing using Amazon MSK.
    • Maintain technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Production and Testing Support:
