Description


We are seeking a motivated and eager Data Engineering and Business Intelligence Intern to join our team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in data engineering and business intelligence using the tools found in Microsoft Fabric. These tools include Data Factory, Data Activator, Synapse Data Warehouse, Synapse Data Engineering, Synapse Data Science, Synapse Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI. The intern will work as part of a development team to complete tasks with mentoring and supervision.

Responsibilities


  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to gather requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Support the creation and optimization of data models for business intelligence and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of data engineering practices.
  • Document processes, workflows, and data dictionaries.

Qualifications


  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases.
