OVERVIEW: We are on the lookout for a skilled Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer with 5-10 years of relevant experience to strengthen our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be technically adept, with a deep understanding of security integration in system architecture, complex data systems, and crafting high-reliability systems within a DevOps culture. The role demands proficiency in IT security disciplines, system administration, and data engineering, with the ability to independently tackle complex security and technical challenges. GENERAL DUTIES: * Develop and implement secure software solutions, ensuring they adhere to architectural standards and best practices in security and engineering. * Engage in the full DevSecOps lifecycle, advocating for security from planning to deployment, while upholding high standards of quality and performance. * Lead Agile sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, emphasizing security integration to enhance processes and output. * Independently resolve complex security and software issues, improving secure data workflows and system reliability. * Generate detailed technical documentation with a focus on security design, development, and maintenance. * Mentor and guide junior engineers in DevSecOps practices, fostering a culture of technical and security excellence within the team. * Oversee critical security testing initiatives and major system upgrades, fortifying system reliability and data integrity. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related field. * Strong experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and scripting for security automation within DevOps workflows. * Profound knowledge of system architecture and database management (SQL/NoSQL) from a security perspective. * Expertise in Agile, SCRUM, and other methodologies, customizing them for security-centric IT disciplines. * Leadership skills with experience in managing projects with a security focus, aligning them with strategic business goals. * Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, capable of leading teams and collaborating across functions with a security-first mindset. * Analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on security, attention to detail, and a drive for high-quality output.
