Job description

As a Lead IT Analyst - Manufacturing Operations in PT, you will ensure that our SAP S/4 Manufacturing, Production Planning, and shop-floor integration solutions are optimized for performance, reliability, and alignment with business objectives. You will work directly with factories, operations leaders, and manufacturing SMEs to understand production requirements and translate them into scalable, compliant SAP S/4 solutions.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving the organization's technology strategies and projects, aligning them with business objectives. This role is critical to delivering end-to-end production execution and planning capabilities, integrating SAP with shop-floor systems (DCS, PLCs, MES), and ensuring material movements, capacity planning, and scheduling are correctly designed and deployed within SAP S/4. Your technical leadership will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our IT systems, ultimately enhancing our competitive edge and operational efficiency.

You will report directly to our Director, IT ERP Business Transformation and work out of our Houston, TX, or Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid schedule.

Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8+ years of IT analysis experience with a focus on Manufacturing, Production Planning, or Factory Operations.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, shop-floor execution, and manufacturing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 PP and/or PP/DS in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience integrating SAP with MES, DCS, PLCs, or other production systems.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience supporting or delivering manufacturing system implementations, enhancements, or plant rollouts.
  • SAP certifications in S/4 Manufacturing, PP, or PP/DS.
  • Experience working directly with factory operations and production leadership.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing master data governance and data quality.
  • Ability to translate complex production concepts into clear system designs and requirements.
  • Strong documentation, training, and communication skills.
  • Experience with structured testing methodologies in manufacturing environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, design, and support SAP S/4 Manufacturing solutions, with emphasis on PP and PP/DS.
  • Partner with factory operations, production planners, and manufacturing SMEs to gather, validate, and document production requirements.
  • Translate manufacturing requirements into scalable, standardized SAP S/4 solutions aligned with the Global Design Model (GDM).
  • Lead requirements and solution design for end-to-end production processes, including planning, scheduling, execution, confirmations, and variance handling.
  • Design and support integration between SAP S/4 and shop-floor systems (MES, DCS, PLCs) and other key systems used by Manufacturing.
  • Ensure accurate material movements and inventory postings across production, including WIP, scrap, rework, and backflushing.
  • Support manufacturing master data readiness, including BOMs, routings, work centers, capacities, and production versions.
  • Collaborate with COEs to validate operating models, security roles, and future-state production processes.
  • Prepare and execute end-to-end manufacturing test scenarios and support UAT, BOAT, deployment, and hypercare activities.
  • Identify manufacturing risks and dependencies; support golive stabilization and continuous improvement.
