Job description

Executive 1 is a rapidly growing collaboration software firm headquartered in McLean, Virginia. Within this dynamic company we have a vacancy for a Junior IT Administrator, reporting to the IT Operations Manager, to manage the infrastructure for our company.

The Junior IT Administrator is responsible for the availability and day-to-day management of the systems within our organization. You would be required to manage the following:

  • Virtual Microsoft Windows servers within AWS and Azure;
  • Active Directory and firewalls;
  • Hosted phone and email systems.

The Junior IT Administrator provides information technology support, including:

  • Handling user inquiries and requests for assistance with personal computer (PC) hardware, software, and mobile computing devices;
  • Utilizes solid problem-solving skills to provide assistance and support to customers;
  • Track licenses and computer use;
  • Create and reset user accounts;
  • Prepare laptops for new employees;
  • Follow and create processes to ensure proper steps are followed on incidents, including prioritization on more important incidents;
  • Document through “knowledge base” articles solutions to avoid future support incidents.

Requirements:

  • Experience or familiarity with using Microsoft Windows;
  • Basic understanding of networking and troubleshooting;
  • Familiarity with the following
    • Office 365 and its applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
    • Exchange user accounts and mailbox management tasks;
    • Experience managing Online versions of TEAMS, SharePoint, M365, Intune, Duo;
    • Corporate Phone systems.
  • Possible engagement assignments on Federal Contracts in the metro-DC area supporting Help Desk Tier 1/Tier 2 activities
    • Ticket creation/escalation;
    • Technical support and troubleshooting of Office applications;
    • Account unlock and password resets;
    • Device imaging.
  • Eligibility for a Public Trust Clearance

This position has will eventually have secondary for 24*7 response to emergency infrastructure issues and there will be the requirement to work maintenance windows outside 'normal' working hours.  Primary working location is in McLean, VA, with possible additional work in other locations in the metro-DC area where Executive 1, or our sister companies CORAS and HumanTouch, has personnel.
