Job description

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will oversee all digital and print creative solutions from brief to delivery, and ensure the design team maintains brand consistency while delivering high-quality content, in addition to collecting detailed briefs and implement creative strategies that support marketing, communications and other parts of the organization. You will also help lead the creative collaborative process with copywriters, developers, external agencies and other creative team members.

Location: You will be based in our Etobicoke office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to Manager, Brand and Design

Posting Type: Replacement.

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $ $57,000 - $76,000.

Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Oversee all design projects, from conception to delivery

  • Ideate and produces creative that is on brief, on brand, mobile-first, and accessible

  • Review junior creative teamwork to ensure high quality, and mentors junior designers

  • Ideates produces and edits creative content and templates for content, including infographics, presentations, graphics, marketing materials, front-end website content, emails, rich media advertising, whitepapers and other online content. Meet with marketing and communications managers, product owners, and other internal clients to understand the brief and collect details such as business objectives and requirements, and translate concepts and needs into design solutions

  • Provide estimates and input and follow production schedules, QA/QC of content review cycles, and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget. Ensure designs are clear, on-brand, mobile-first, and adhere to user experience principles and the aesthetics required by the marketplace

  • Briefing, planning and conceptualizing creative design ideas for projects required by "internal clients"

  • Translate concepts and needs into design solutions

  • As brand champion, uses and provides brand identities, looking for ways to provide templated approaches to ensuring the Moneris brand is respected and represented in internal and external content, and ensure brand consistency

  • Maintain archival systems of produced files, images and graphics

Required skills and experience

  • College Diploma is required

  • 3 to 5 years experience as a Graphic Designer

  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio of work

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

  • Knowledge and skill with Adobe After Effects & Premiere for motion graphics

  • Solid knowledge of the printing process and pre-flight tools

  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, advertisements, rich media advertising and PowerPoint template creation

  • Experience with AI, HTML, WordPress and motion graphics is an asset

  • Experience with online advertising, banner design and production
