Role Description The Junior Graphic Designer is a part-time, potentially full-time, hybrid role based in Boston, MA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role involves supporting the creative team in developing visual concepts and executing designs across brand identities, marketing materials, digital assets, and presentations. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating layouts, refining logos and graphics, applying brand guidelines, and preparing files for print and digital production. The Junior Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with senior designers, strategists, and project managers, participate in design reviews, and incorporate feedback to improve deliverables. The role also includes assisting with asset organization, maintaining consistency across client projects, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 18 months in workforce post Undergraduate
  • Strong foundational skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with the ability to produce clear, engaging visual solutions.
  • Experience with Logo Design and Branding, including developing and extending visual identity systems.
  • Proficiency in Typography, with a keen eye for hierarchy, legibility, and stylistic consistency.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; Figma or similar tools).
  • Experience with AI, AI tools, Claude or similar tools.
  • Experience with Figma, Figma Make, Canva, Motion Video (knowlege), Animation.
  • Portfolio demonstrating thoughtful design process, attention to detail, and ability to work within brand guidelines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take direction and incorporate constructive feedback.
  • Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
