Job description

Experience Minimum 12 years overall IT experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Palantir Foundry experience in development, administration, and/or platform engineering roles

Palantir Foundry — Core Deep hands-on experience with Foundry modules including Workshop, Contour, Quiver, Code Repositories, Transforms, and Ontology. Must be able to design Ontology objects, action types, and Workshop applications from scratch.

Palantir Foundry — Admin Experience with Foundry workspace management, permissions, projects, roles, groups, and data security models. Ability to manage multi-environment (Dev/QA/Prod) promotion workflows and version control.

Data Engineering Strong proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and Python. Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, transforms, and ingestion frameworks within Foundry.

Pipeline Operations Experience debugging failed jobs, workflow orchestration, ingestion framework troubleshooting, and pipeline performance optimization in Foundry.

Utility / Energy Domain Electric or gas utility experience strongly preferred — asset management, grid operations, field operations, outage management, regulatory compliance, or infrastructure planning. Understanding of utility operational workflows that Foundry applications typically support.

Cloud Platforms Knowledge of cloud services supporting Foundry deployments — Google Cloud Platform (preferred) Understanding of how Foundry integrates with cloud-native data services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, PubSub).

CI/CD & Version Control Proficiency in Git and CI/CD workflows. Ability to automate admin tasks, monitoring, and validations where applicable.

RBAC & Security Understanding of enterprise RBAC models, data classification, and role-based access governance in Foundry.

Data Governance Experience with data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, and compliance standards. Familiarity with data catalog tools (e.g., Atlan) is a plus.

Delivery Model Proven experience managing onshore-offshore delivery teams. Ability to define work packages, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers remotely.

Stakeholder Management Demonstrated ability to work with senior business leaders, IT architects, and cross-functional teams to define product vision, prioritize features, and deliver business value.

Preferred Qualifications

· Palantir Foundry certification or completion of Palantir-led training programs

· Experience standing up Foundry deployments from scratch — including initial Ontology design, workspace architecture, and user onboarding in a greenfield or early-stage environment

· Experience with Kubernetes concepts (depending on Foundry deployment model)

· Familiarity with NVIDIA AI infrastructure and how Foundry integrates with GPU-accelerated workloads

· Experience with geospatial data and analytics (GIS integration with Foundry)

· Google Cloud Platform Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification

· Prior experience at a large investor-owned electric or gas utility (serving 2M+ customers)

· Experience with Foundry Marketplace apps and pre-built Palantir solutions for energy/utilities vertical

· Understanding of regulatory environments (NERC, PUCT, PHMSA, state PUCs) and how compliance requirements shape data platform design
