Job description
As a Senior Project Manager/Principal for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Oklahoma City, OK office. You will develop a practice focused on providing environmental engineering, site investigation/remediation, due diligence, and/or environmental compliance services to private and public sector clients in a wide range of markets including real estate, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, and power.
You will be responsible for managing and expanding services to current clients and developing new business, as well as managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and providing senior direction on a variety of projects. You will also be responsible for assembling and managing teams to develop approaches to complex projects and provide senior leadership to project teams. By developing and strengthening our relationships with prospective and existing clients, you will guide the growth of the practice on both a local and regional basis.
You will guide and develop a team of environmental professionals through multi-faceted site assessment and remediation projects, including the evaluation and selection of technical approaches, preparation of technical documents, and regulatory negotiations, while delivering on time and on budget. In addition, you will partner with our management teams to mentor and assist in the professional development of the environmental staff, including the performance of annual reviews and the establishment of development goals.
- 15+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree. in Geology, or Environmental Science, Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering; Master's degree is preferred
- Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP); Professional Engineering license; (P.E); Lincensed Site Professional (LSP); Professional Geologist (PG) is a plus
- Established clients/contacts in the Real Estate, Mining, Power, Oil & Gas, and Manufacturing client sectors;
- Experience in both client- and professional development-based organizations
- Experience in scoping of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
- Experience in the hiring, mentoring, and development of staff members
- Demonstrated experience in providing a technical reviews of Environmental deliverables and problem-solve in a professional setting
- A recognized "go to" person for a technical subject, and publicly demonstrates expertise through publishing or speaking on technical topics
- Professional experience encouraging and facilitating relationships across offices, practices, and external organizations. Leverage diverse expertise to solve a range of organizational and client challenges; and
- Professional communication skills (speaking and writing), including experience communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials
