Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a skilled Junior Full Stack Software Developer to design and build a dynamic, web-based application in Angular, Java, and PostgreSQL.
Location: On-site, Washington, DC
About the Mission:
Technology is evolving rapidly, and adversaries are digitally out-pacing law enforcement's ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States often face challenges in accessing the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. This role directly supports that mission by delivering secure, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, test, and develop well-structured, efficient, and testable web-based software using Java Angular, Postgres and related technologies.
  • Translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional applications, ensuring reliability through ongoing maintenance, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with customers and technical teams to translate requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories for both functional and non-functional needs.
  • Support Agile teams in backlog planning, work item refinement, and story point estimation.
  • Apply industry-standard design patterns and best practices to software solutions.
  • Implement secure coding standards to safeguard applications and data.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests to support CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelors degree and minimum 1 year of relevant experience; or, minimum 3 years with AS/AA degree, or minimum 5 years in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with using GitLab for CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps deployments.
  • Experience with Object Oriented language
  • Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL database technologies.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
