We are expanding our team and looking for a senior full stack software developer who is focused on delivering - someone who ships high-quality software, thrives across the entire stack, and takes ownership of getting features into the hands of users. This is an opportunity to join a mature program while working alongside experienced engineers on mission-critical systems. The role spans a wide range of disciplines, with opportunities to work in UI technologies, server-side development, data ingest and pipelines, search, and user experience. We are looking for a versatile engineer who is excited to move fluidly between these areas and consistently deliver real, working software. We are building software differently. AI is a core practice that drives how we work, and our team actively leverages AI-augmented development tools (such as coding agents) to accelerate delivery, streamline debugging, and improve overall engineering quality. The ideal candidate embraces code assistance and is eager to multiply their capabilities with modern tools. Location:
On-site in Chantilly, VA with telework options available upon request. Clearance Requirement:
Active Top Secret clearance required. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deliver full stack software features across the entire application lifecycle
- Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces and improve overall user experience
- Develop and maintain server-side services, APIs, and business logic
- Design and implement data ingest, pipelines, and search capabilities
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders to understand mission and business needs
- Troubleshoot technical and functional issues across the stack
- Mentor junior engineers and help shape development standards and best practices
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and team collaboration
- Continuously learn and adopt new tools, including AI-assisted development techniques Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience in software development, including: - Developing, testing, and deploying full stack software in widely used languages such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or .NET - Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring, Node.js, NestJS, Gin, or Hibernate - Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Next.js - Experience designing and building APIs and server-side services - Experience with data ingest, pipelines, or search technologies - Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases - Strong grasp of software design patterns, antipatterns, and the software development lifecycle - Experience with development tools (git, integrated development environments, code quality tools, etc.) Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch or Solr
- Experience with data pipeline and streaming tools (Kafka, Spark, or similar)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Interest in automation, DevSecOps, or CI/CD pipelines
