The Opportunity
The position offers hands-on experience across the stack, exposure to modern development practices, and mentorship from experienced engineers. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to support the continued evolution of Giftogram's platform.
What You'll Work On
  • Writing, testing, and debugging frontend and backend code in React & PHP
  • Contributing to real features - not just bug fixes - across the full stack
  • Troubleshooting issues and iterating on existing systems with senior engineers by your side
  • Participating in standups, code reviews, and team discussions
  • Maintaining technical documentation as the product evolves
  • Learning and applying best practices around code quality, testing, and clean architecture

What You Bring
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 0-2 years of professional experience, or relevant internships, bootcamps, or personal projects.
• Familiarity with frontend development concepts and modern JavaScript.
• Experience with React or another modern JavaScript framework (academic or project-based experience acceptable).
• Basic experience or exposure to backend development (PHP, SQL, or similar languages).
• Understanding REST APIs and how frontend and backend systems interact.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and incorporate feedback.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
• Interest in financial technology, digital payments, or e-commerce systems.
Bonus points for:
• Experience with Laravel or another MVC framework.
• Experience with testing practices, including QA, unit testing, and integration testing.
