Job Summary:
Alpha Consulting Corp. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer with strong React experience. The role involves technical leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior developers, and leading modernization initiatives for existing applications.
Responsibilities:
• Looking for a Senior Full Stack Java Developer with strong React experience and expertise in working with any modern database technology.
• Seeking an individual who can serve as a trusted technical partner and act as the hiring manager's "right hand" in driving technical initiatives.
• This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a people-management position (Need 100% hands on person who can mentor junior folks).
• Must be capable of: Leading technical initiatives and modernization efforts. Mentoring and guiding junior developers. Providing technical direction while remaining heavily involved in coding.
• The team is currently engaged in multiple application modernization initiatives.
• Existing applications are built on .NET 4.x, Mainframe and other old technologies.
• Applications are being rewritten and migrated to modern technology stacks and frameworks.
• The selected candidate will be expected to lead portions of these modernization efforts.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Approximately 10+ years of experience.
• Strong Java backend development skills with React on the frontend.
• Technical focus is approximately 70% backend / 30% frontend.
• Must be capable of leading technical initiatives and modernization efforts.
• Must be capable of mentoring and guiding junior developers.
• Must be capable of providing technical direction while remaining heavily involved in coding.
Preferred:
• Banking or financial services industry experience is preferred but not a deal breaker.
• Exposure to AI/Generative AI technologies is required.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and/or Kubernetes would be highly beneficial.
