We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Performance & Compliance Engineering team.  This role is located in Boston, MA.
 

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of scalable full stack applications that support Portfolio Performance Analysis, Compliance, and Risk business capabilities, primarily using .Net, C#, SQL, and Angular.
  • Enhance the portfolio of existing .Net application across the business function while upgrading and modernizing the application architectures and designs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to translate business requirements into user stories, process flows, technical designs, and resilient end-to-end software solutions.
  • Deliver reliable, maintainable, and secure applications across both frontend and backend layers, supporting critical financing workflows, operational efficiency, and business growth.
  • Leverage AI-enabled coding tools and engineering practices to improve speed to delivery, increase code quality, strengthen testing, and enhance developer productivity.
  • Drive strong engineering discipline across the software development lifecycle, including architecture, coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, debugging, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across development, architecture, infrastructure, production support, and business teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and strategic objectives.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to developers, promote reusable solutions and modern engineering practices, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with strong full stack development expertise in C#.Net Framework, ASP.Net, .Net Core, SQL, Angular, HTML/CSS.
  • Strong SQL (DB2/Oracle/SQL Server) and data analysis and transformation skills 
  • Proven experience building and supporting operational and analytical applications across frontend, backend, and data layers in complex, high-availability environments.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including object-oriented design, secure coding, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, debugging, and application support
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions while balancing functionality, performance, and risk considerations.
  • Experience with or strong interest in AI-assisted development tools and applying them to improve engineering effectiveness and solution quality.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence technical outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers, providing technical leadership, and contributing to a high-performing engineering culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Portfolio Accounting, Performance, and Risk Analysis systems or broader financial services technology environments.
  • Experience with multi-threaded applications, APIs, distributed systems, microservices, and modern UI/backend integration patterns
  • Prior experience GitLab and test automation within CI/CD
  • Usage or exposure to DevExpress/DevExtreme UI libraries
  • Some experience with Java/Angular full stack development a plus

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $199,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 


This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
