Position Summary
As a Software Engineer - Digital Products, you will be a key member of the Digital Product team, contributing to the design, development, and support of scalable SaaS applications and enterprise digital solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Teams, Designers, Quality Engineers, and Infrastructure teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet business and user needs.

In this role, you will lead development efforts on multiple application modules, support existing systems, and participate in building new software components. You will translate product requirements into technical designs, implement solutions, and ensure alignment with architectural standards. You will mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices, while contributing to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

This position is based out of our corporate offices in Reading. PA. This an office first position, at least 4 days in office.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary technical lead for multiple application modules, resolving customer and business issues efficiently while ensuring high-quality delivery. 
Participate across the software development lifecycle-including discovery, framing, design, development, testing, release, and support. 
Design, implement, test, and maintain backend and frontend components for digital products and SaaS applications. 
Produce clean, well-documented, maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices. 
Mentor and review code from junior engineers, including onshore and offshore team members. 
Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Designers to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and modules. 
Design backend database schemas, implement normalization principles, and write complex SQL queries to support product features. 
Develop automated unit and UI tests to ensure code quality and identify defects early. 
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across multiple applications. 
Contribute to architectural decisions, recommending scalable, reusable, and maintainable solutions. 
Participate in test planning, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing. 
Document systems, technical designs, and dependencies to facilitate team knowledge sharing. 
Engage in other digital product initiatives and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. 
2-4 years of experience in software development with modern programming languages (e.g., Java). 
Full stack development experience with React, Angular, jQuery, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring/Spring-MVC, myBatis, RESTful APIs. 
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. 
Experience with relational database design and complex SQL queries. 
Knowledge of design frameworks, patterns, and software architecture principles. 
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams. 
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with Product, Design, QA, and Infrastructure teams.
