Job Summary

Delta Intelligent Building Technologies is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Canvas team responsible for building modern AI-powered user experiences within the Canvas platform. This role focuses primarily on frontend and user-facing AI feature development using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies, while also contributing to backend integrations and cloud-based AI workflows supporting intelligent applications. The successful candidate will help design and implement conversational interfaces, AI-assisted workflows, intelligent automation features, and real-time AI interactions that enhance the user experience across Delta's intelligent building management platform. The developer will work closely with AI engineers, UX/UI designers, and backend teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and production-ready AI-enabled applications and integrations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain AI-powered frontend features for the Canvas platform.
  • Build responsive and reusable UI components using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Develop conversational interfaces and AI-assisted user experiences.
  • Integrate frontend applications with AI services, backend APIs, and cloud-based workflows.
  • Implement real-time communication and streaming experiences using SSE architectures.
  • Collaborate with AI and backend teams to integrate LLM-powered features and intelligent workflows.
  • Contribute to frontend architecture, component libraries, and UI consistency across AI applications.
  • Optimize frontend performance, usability, accessibility, and scalability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Create and maintain automated tests and CI/CD workflows.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure product quality and release readiness.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing frontend web applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and cloud services.
  • Experience with Git-based collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and frontend build tooling.
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale web applications is preferred.

Salary: 90,000 - 110,000 CAD
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
