Job description

Overview

CentraState Healthcare System, headquartered in Freehold, New Jersey, is a leading nonprofit healthcare provider dedicated to serving the community. CentraState is currently seeking a Finance Operations Analyst to support financial processes and decision-making. This role is responsible for preparing financial analyses, assisting with month-end financial close, and supporting the annual budget process for the Medical Center. Additionally, the Finance Operations Analyst maintains decision support and budget systems as directed by the respective area manager, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in completion of monthly financial close activities including preparation of monthly statistical reports, variance analyses and other related worksheets. Publishes month end reports to CentraNet for department manager access/review.
  • Generates reports in support of monthly A/R Valuation process.
  • Prepares and disseminates monthly financial dashboards under the direction of responsible manager.
  • Assists in completion of Medicare/SHARE cost reports and other required governmental reimbursement filings.
  • Prepares and submits monthly B-2 and quarterly FAST report survey data under the direction of the supervison of the Manager of Finance Operations.
  • Compiles data for external survey requests under the supervision of the Manager of Finance Operations.
  • Assists in the maintenance of EPIC codes and Lawson G/L mappings for patient billing. Updates system as directed.
  • Assists in completion of operating budgets in Axiom as directed by the Executive Director of Finance Operations.
  • Reviews budget submissions for accuracy and follows up with department managers for clarification.
  • Prepares budget analyses in support of major expense categories/general ledger accounts for senior management, as directed.
  • Utilizing the MedMetrix decision support tool, generates Product Line P & L's and monthly standard departmental reports. Analyzes and reviews results with manager and Executive Director of Finance Operations prior to publication/dissemination.
  • Analyzes and reviews biweekly productivity reports. Performs supporting analytics to be utilized for business decision making purposes.
  • Prepares other financial analyses, responds to information requests, and provides assistance in support of other projects, as needed.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required.

Experience:

Minmum three years financial experience in healthcare required.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Advanced computer knowledge and strong analytical skills required.

Strong writing abilities and knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.

Strong numerical aptitude.

Strong professional, organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.

Compensation Range: $68,250.00 - $116,030.00 annually

The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.

Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.

The benefits outlined also reflect CSHS' policy at the time of posting. Benefits as are made available to other similarly situated team members of CSHS, although participation is at all times in accordance with and subject to the eligibility and other provisions of such plans and programs.
