Job description

Position: Software Quality Engineer (C/C++)- DO-178B/C

Duration: 24+ month contract

Location: St. Louis, MO 63101 100% onsite (relocation candidates is fine)

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to support safety critical embedded software development. The ideal candidate will have experience with DO-178B/C process compliance, software quality assurance, C/C++, Python, and software lifecycle audits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with DO-178B/C software development processes.
  • Review software lifecycle documentation, requirements, verification, and traceability.
  • Perform process and quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Support software development teams using C/C++ and Python-based tools.
  • Identify process improvements and track corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and certification teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
  • Experience with DO-178B/C process compliance.
  • Knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
  • Experience with software quality processes, audits, and lifecycle documentation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
