Full-time

Posted 15 days ago

Job description

Stash exists to put a financial advisor in everyone's pocket: investing, banking, and personalized guidance in one app for everyday Americans to invest and save with confidence.

We believe the best way to serve customers is through simple products, thoughtful design, and teams that are deeply committed to our mission. If you're excited about helping people build better financial habits and expanding access to investing, we'd love to hear from you.

We're a diverse group who love to collaborate, treat each other with respect and kindness and genuinely enjoy working together. We're very self-motivated and curious, and love experimenting with new tools, strategies and ways of working.

We're looking for a Junior Designer to join Stash's creative team. You'll be part of our small, but growing team and report to the Art Director. You'll help bring the Stash brand to life across paid social, organic social, CRM and other marketing channels.

This role is hands-on and design-forward. You'll create static and motion assets for paid and organic social, adapt creative for different formats and placements, and help us explore how AI tools can speed up production without sacrificing quality. You'll work closely with social and growth teams to turn briefs into polished, on-brand work.

We're looking for someone who has a sharp eye for great design, and is curious about learning and applying AI tools to their workflow.

This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring you to be on-site in our New York office at least three days per week to work with stakeholders and foster team collaboration.

What you'll do:

Support the creative workflow

  • Take briefs from concept to final assets, incorporating feedback from the Creative Director, Art Director, and cross-functional partners.
  • Organize and maintain design files, templates, and asset libraries for the marketing team.
  • Stay on top of platform trends, ad formats, and design conventions and translate them into work that fits Stash's brand.
  • Experiment with AI design tools to streamline production, explore concepts, and improve workflow efficiency.

Design for paid and organic social

  • Create static and motion assets for paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and more.
  • Design organic social creative that fits the Stash's brand and performs on each platform.
  • Adapt and resize creative for different placements, aspect ratios, and platform specs.
  • Maintain brand consistency while pushing creative that feels fresh and platform-appropriate.

Design for email marketing

  • Create on-brand visual assets for email campaigns, from promotional layouts and hero graphics to lifecycle and newsletter creative.

Partner cross-functionally

  • Partner with Marketing, Growth, and Social teams to align creative with campaigns, launches, and content calendars.
  • Incorporate performance feedback and creative insights to iterate on what's working.
  • Support the broader creative team on ad hoc design needs across marketing channels as needed.

What we're looking for:

  • 1+ years of design experience
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills, with examples of social media creative
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • A genuine interest in paid social design and social media design - you follow what's working and want to create it yourself
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for using and learning AI tools to improve your design process and output
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback

Gold Stars:

  • Video editing skills (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, or similar)
  • Experience designing for fintech, consumer finance, or another regulated industry
  • Basic motion graphics or animation skills
  • Familiarity with paid social specs, ad formats, and platform best practices
  • Experience working from a design system or brand guidelines
