ABOUT THE JOB

The Junior. Technical Services Engineer provides technical support in the formulation, production, quality, and testing of new and existing products and procedures. This includes procurement of product documentation, managing data integrity in the Quality Module, and performing lab tests and production support.  The Junior Technical Services Engineer also manages all lab batch production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Specific

  • Provide support for product documentation, including work instructions, testing procedures, and other documentation as needed.
  • Create lab standards for new products and perform testing of chemicals such as freeze point testing, pH, titrations, and specific gravity.
  • Provide support for the Technical Services & Development group.
  • Provide technical support to the Product Data Management team as it relates to new, manufactured products, including product formulations, unit of measure conversions, and manufacturing routes.
  • Lab manufacturing of products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

                ABOUT YOU:

                • BS degree in technical field (e.g., Engineering, Chemistry, Biology) preferred.
                • Understanding of chemicals and manufacturing processes
                • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with great attention to detail
                • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, build cross-functional relationships, and listen actively.
                • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
                • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems, such as ERP (JD Edwards)
                • Familiarity with production and laboratory instrumentation, including troubleshooting, training, performing start-up processes, validating and maintaining equipment such as HPLC, ICP-OES, pH conductivity, spectrophotometers, and auto-titration systems.

                  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

                  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

                  Minimal travel required

                  Expected Compensation: $55,000-65,000/year. + 5% bonus eligibility
