Junior Escalation Network Engineer

We are looking for a proactive Junior Escalation Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in resolving complex network issues that have been escalated from the first-line support team. This role involves working closely with senior engineers to ensure network stability and performance.

This is a fully on-site role based in Winston-Salem, NC. Candidates must currently reside in North Carolina or be willing to relocate prior to start.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical support for escalated network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems involving routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to diagnose and fix network performance issues.
  • Monitor network performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
  • Assist in the implementation and configuration of network hardware and software.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
