Job description

As a Junior Quality Engineer at Astrodyne TDI, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our products and processes meet the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with a talented team of manufacturing and design professionals to maintain the quality of our final products by adhering to our quality management systems. Your goal will be to ensure that our products are safe, meet customer expectations, and maintain cost-efficiency using Lean methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct First Article Inspections on internal and externally manufactured products.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance.
  • Participate in scheduled program review meetings.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
  • Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Assist in closing customer-related issues as required.
  • Assist and conduct Quality Management System audits as scheduled.
  • Support DMIR, In-process, and Final Inspection activities.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Analyze customer feedback, maintain records, and implement necessary changes to manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in quality, industrial, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical engineering-based role.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices and SPC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ certification is preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of ISO 13485 and AS9100 standards preferred.
