Role: Senior DataOps Engineer (W2 Position)

Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Experience: 9+ Years

JD:

  • Design & Build Telemetry Pipelines: Lead the development of scalable and secure telemetry data pipelines on GCP, processing logs, metrics, and traces with a focus on security and network data.
  • GCP Data Ecosystem Expertise: Utilize services such as Cloud Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Logging, and Monitoring to build, manage, and optimize cloud-native data infrastructure.
  • Implement DataOps Best Practices: Drive CI/CD for data pipelines, version control (Git), automated testing, monitoring, and data quality frameworks.
  • Security and Network Data Handling: Ingest and process logs from VPC Flow, firewalls, IDS, EDR, and SIEM systems (e.g., Chronicle) to support real-time threat detection and operational visibility.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure data security, masking, encryption, RBAC, and audit logging for sensitive telemetry and operational data.
  • Optimize Performance & Cost: Continuously monitor and tune data pipelines for efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, network, and security teams to gather requirements, implement solutions, and support business needs.
  • Documentation & Mentorship: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and mentor junior engineers within the DataOps team.
  • Core Tools & Skills: Strong experience with Python, Terraform (IaC), Apache Beam, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and GCP Monitoring tools.
  • Domain Knowledge & Experience: Requires 7+ years in data engineering (4+ in DataOps), strong network/security understanding, and experience with data modeling, telemetry, and infrastructure observability.
