At NASK, we’re growing, building great teams, and doing exciting work. This role involves designing, implementing, and administering database systems while ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability across both AWS and on-premises environments. The candidate will optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance existing code, while also developing new programs and writing efficient SQL. They will manage cloud database services, support migrations, and build Python integrations in Linux environments, working closely with engineering teams to deliver secure, high-availability data solutions that enable efficient information flow across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
  • STEM Bachelor’s degree: engineering, computer science, or information technology
  • 5-10 years DB administration experience
  • DB administration experience with operating high-uptime Databases in both AWS and on-premises environments
  • Experience with cloud database technologies (AWS RDS, Oracle, MS SQL, Azure)
  • 5-10+ years of work-related experience with any of the following: MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres, MongoDB
  • In-depth knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud products (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda, Aurora, Dynamo DB, EMR, DMS data migration, Athena, Glue, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.) and experience deploying, operating, and monitoring infrastructure in the AWS cloud
  • A deep understanding of the cloud computing model as it relates to enterprise productivity
  • Software development experience, particularly interfacing with a database via Python on Linux
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Security requirements: Active TS/SCI w/poly
  • Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications like Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or AWS Certified Database
