Job description

Description:

Faraday Copper is a growth oriented Canadian junior mining company focused on responsibly advancing our flagship development stage project in Arizona, through our subsidiary company, Redhawk Copper. With a highly energetic and collaborative team, we are committed to building a modern mining operation grounded in operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and strong community partnerships.

Faraday recently announced it has entered a letter of intent to acquire BHP’s San Manuel property in Arizona, creating the potential for a multi-asset copper district in the USA. As we transition from exploration to project development, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on Database & GIS Lead to build and lead this function in Arizona.

The Database & GIS Lead manages and maintains Redhawk Copper integrated data management systems, ensuring data integrity, traceability, accessibility, and compliance. The role oversees geological, spatial, geochemical, metallurgical, geotechnical, and hydrogeological datasets, supporting technical studies through PFS and FS stages. The position provides GIS analysis, data visualization, dashboard development, and workflow optimization to support geology, resource estimation, environmental, regulatory, and project development activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary administrator and steward of all geological database and GIS platforms, enforcing data management standards, user access controls, and governance frameworks across all technical disciplines
  • Lead centralization and integration of all technical datasets (geological, geochemical, geotechnical, environmental, metallurgical, hydrogeological, and spatial) into a single authoritative source supporting project advancement through PFS and FS
  • Own the end-to-end drill hole data workflow from collar registration through laboratory receipt, including chain of custody, QAQC standard and blank insertion programs, laboratory data import configuration, and integration into the master geological database.
  • Develop and maintain data validation protocols, capture processes, integration workflows, and reporting systems to ensure quality, reliability, and traceability across all disciplines
  • Maintain data security, backup procedures, disaster recovery protocols, and user access controls; coordinate data imports, exports, audits, and reconciliations across laboratories, contractors, and internal teams
  • Support technical studies, regulatory reporting, and NI 43-101 compliance through accurate, traceable, and auditable datasets
  • Maintain authoritative spatial datasets including mineral claims, land ownership, drill holes, geology, geochemistry, geophysics, infrastructure, and environmental and permitting layers
  • Produce fit-for-purpose maps, figures, and technical illustrations for technical programs, management reports, presentations, and regulatory submissions
  • Support field teams with mobile GIS configuration and spatial data collection; administer GIS software licenses and user access
  • Develop dashboards, data visualization tools, and spatial analysis workflows to support project decision-making and proactively identify data quality issues and integrity concerns
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship in database administration, GIS, data governance, and quality practices across the organization

Physical Demands

  • Ability to understand, follow, and communicate work assignments, procedures, and safety requirements in English. Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, and lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Redhawk Copper Inc. promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment with mandatory employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, GIS, Geoscience, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mining Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum seven years of experience in mineral exploration, mining, or natural resources, including at least three years administering and integrating geological and multidisciplinary technical databases within the mining industry
  • Demonstrated experience supporting advanced-stage mineral projects through resource estimation, PFS, or FS, including preparation of auditable datasets for NI 43-101 technical reports
  • Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS Pro; QGIS an asset
  • Demonstrated proficiency administering an industry geological database platform (acQuire, Fusion, or Rogue Geoscience), including template design, validation rules, laboratory import configuration, and user management
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL), with ability to write queries for data validation, QAQC reporting, and workflow automation
  • Experience with data analytics or AI-assisted tools to improve data quality monitoring or process efficiency is an asset
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
