Our Data Engineering team designs, builds, and supports the data systems that power our proprietary trading business. This smaller, focused team works closely with software developers, traders, operations, and accounting/finance teams to make high-quality data accessible, reliable, and actionable across the firm. You will help develop production-quality pipelines, services, databases, and tools that support trading operations, reporting, research, and automation. The role offers a high degree of ownership and hands-on learning, with exposure to Python, SQL, Linux, APIs, data modeling, and financial systems. The components you work on will help ensure that critical business and trading data is accurate, timely, and dependable.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior developers to assist in and learn all facets of data engineering and development applied to the business
  • Develop, code, maintain, and support production-quality components for global proprietary trading
  • Develop expertise in data engineering principles, Python, SQL, and high-performance finance systems
  • Collaborate with technology, software, trading, business, and accounting/finance teams

Requirements

  • BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong Python skills
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational database design
  • Comfort working in a Linux environment
  • Source control with Git
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design
  • Docker/containerization
