Job description

Multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join their Springfield team as a subject matter expert!


Responsibilities:

  • Advise internal/external teams on all wastewater treatment issues
  • As the subject matter expert on wastewater treatment, provide firm-wide direction, internal consultation, and services to clients
  • Ensure all processes/systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Prepare/review compliance documentation and reports
  • Maintain reputation as technical expert by writing papers, giving technical presentations, and/or regularly represent the firm in professional/technical societies
  • Produce quality work and ensure QC standards are maintained
  • Research/analyze wastewater-related data, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Build/maintain client relationships
  • Represent firm at professional organizations
  • Lead/manage water/wastewater treatment projects from design through implementation
  • Prepare detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Mentor/train junior staff


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Master’s degree in chemical, civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering preferred
  • 10+ years of water/wastewater processing engineering experience
  • PE License
  • Strong technical background/experience in wastewater treatment, wastewater modeling, and regulatory compliance
