Job Description: Job Summary The Senior Data Engineer will serve in a senior role within the Data Engineering organization and will be responsible for supporting and maturing the data platform. This is a high impact role reporting into the head of data engineering and will involve working closely with IT, business stakeholders and external vendors to deliver on data and analytics initiatives. Key Job Responsibilities Troubleshoot and support implemented applications Work in all phases of the software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support Participate in daily scrums, work with Scrum Master and QA Team on projects, and support delivery timelines and priorities Solves problems independently with limited supervision and assists other developers with technical questions Consistently delivers high quality software and provides coaching to peers and junior team members.

Can help drive the team's activities in the absence of leadership / scrum masters for short periods while delivering upon objectives Identify opportunities for technical improvements in specific processes or functional areas, recommend solutions & advocate for implementation Influence technical design decisions & make recommendations on high level architecture Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering or related field At least 3-5 years of related experience. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Develops data pipelines, data integration programs using Python or Talend suite of products in accordance with the business requirements and technical specifications Expert at data warehousing, data lakes, business intelligence and data security concepts Expert at relational database concepts, SQL,logical modeling, best practices, and physical design Expert at data and analytics services in at least one cloud platform Expert at developing stored procedures, functions, views Proficient with automation and orchestration of workloads and associated technologies Proficient with data catalog, data quality, master data management (MDM) and data governance best practices. Proficient with atleast one cloud DevOps framework and associated technologies Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills Experience working with AWS platform and solutioning on AWS infrastructure using services like AWS IAM, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, Glue, Lake formation, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS Experience working with Apache Airflow for orchestrating analytics workload Experience with IaC solutions like terraform, cloud formation Experience with traditional ETL tools like Talend Open Studio, Informatica or similar tools Preferred Education and/or Experience Multiple data engineering, cloud or talend related certifications Experience with AWS EKS service, setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters Other Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.
