Job Summary
The Archaeological Technician II position is responsible for working with archaeological collections in the Troy University Archaeological Research Center laboratory. The curation tasks involve processing any newly acquired collections for curation, stabilizing existing collections, and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all the collections. Primary duties include transferring artifacts into new bags and boxes that meet the curation standard. This position will also assist the anthropology faculty in ensuring that our collections meet federal guidelines related to the Native American Graves Repatriation and Protection Act (NAGPRA). Additionally, this position will have research opportunities with the Archaeology faculty.
Minimum Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Must have completed the course ANT 2200
3. Current Troy University Student
4. Junior or Senior classification
