Geospatial Front End Developer – Multiple Positions at Junior/Mid/Senior Levels

NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) is actively recruiting qualified and cleared Geospatial Front End Developers to support national security client sites in the Northern Virginia and St. Louis, MO areas. Candidates will develop visualization software to understand data where proximity and location matter. Your work will help developer communities re-imagine the capabilities of location-aware software applications that enable real-world improvements. A Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility or an active TS/SCI are required conditions of employment.

Work Environment:

  • Location:  Northern Virginia Area (Springfield, VA and/or Vienna, VA)
  • Travel up to 15% of the time

  • Design, develop, and maintain front-end services and APIs
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and reliability
  • Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Maintain production systems and resolve issues as required

Required Qualifications:

  • US citizenship with Active or Current (within two years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related field
  • 2+ years of experience with web design and web front end development
  • Proven web design/development experience using HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript and JavaScript
  • Experience with front-end development libraries, such as React, Angular, Vue, etc.
  • Background building high availability and high scalability solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills and proven good judgement
  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organization, analytical, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related field
  • Esri certification
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practice and secure development pipelines
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active/Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
