Job description

The Junior Network Administrator will assist the network administrator to maintain the network infrastructure. The position requires collaborative work within a team of network and system administrator to ensure IT services are functioning effectively.
  • Work within a team of technical staff to maintain the network infrastructure.
  • Follow directions and guidance in the configuration and upgrading of switches, routers and wireless access points.
  • Assist in maintaining all network equipment including configuration files and network maps.
  • Assist with the maintenance of WAN and Internet connections and coordinate with local service companies for all satellite campuses.
  • Work with and configure internal and external monitoring systems to ensure alerts are being generated for service outages.
  • Maintain detailed network documentation as directed by the Network Administrator or VP of Information Technology.
  • Performs installation, termination, labeling, and testing of structured cabling systems in accordance with industry standards.
  • Assist with computer maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms.
  • Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
  • Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
  • Ensures clients' rights are protected.

Work Environment:
  • This position operates in a hybrid work environment, combining on-site and remote work.

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
  • CCNA and Network + are highly preferred
  • 1 year experience in network administration and PC maintenance.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and an Adult Registry Check
  • FBI Fingerprint check
  • Lifting requirement of 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
