Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
Location: Jackson, MI
Contract: 3-Month Rolling Engagements
Job Type: Contact, Hybrid
Expected hours per week: Full-time on-going contract, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Onsite Tuesday-Thursday, Remote Monday & Friday)
Pay Range: $65-75 per hour

About the Opportunity
Join a team driving a digital-first transformation within a large utility environment. This position focuses on designing, developing, and supporting applications that manage work intake, planning, scheduling, and execution processes. You'll work on modernizing critical business systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, user-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and services.
  • Build and support .NET 5.0+ backend solutions and modern frontend applications using Angular, React, or Next.js.
  • Develop and enhance cloud-first solutions, supporting modernization efforts in Azure environments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and ensure application reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile development practices including paired programming, incremental design, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support integrations with enterprise platforms and assist with technical documentation, including networking and infrastructure diagrams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 4+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using .NET 5.0+.
  • 4+ years of experience with Angular, React, and/or Next.js.
  • Strong experience developing and troubleshooting cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience supporting applications through the full software development lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor team members and support technical skill development.
  • Experience with:
    • Paired Programming
    • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
