ROLE OVERVIEWย 

The Jr. Staff Accountant will play a critical role in strengthening the financial foundation of YCENA, ensuring disciplined execution, transparency, and governance across all accounting and financial operations.

This role goes beyond traditional accounting assignments. The Jr. Staff Accountant will participate in building, enforcing, and sustaining a best-in-class financial control environment. Primarily attending to the accurate and complete processing of supplier and vendor payments, this role will also support month end responsibilities to ensure a complete, transparent and true accounting of YCENA financial performance aligned with our One Yanmar philosophy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESย 

1. Financial Governance & Controlย 

  • Ensure all supplier and vendor payments are accurate and timely processed, aligned with company delegation of authority (DOA)
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve legacy gaps in accounting practices and process gapsย 
  • Ensure full compliance with US GAAP and Yanmar global standardsย 
  • Act as a guardian of financial integrity and transparencyย 

2. Financial Reporting & Accuracy

  • Own the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial assignments including, but not limited to
    • Supplier and vendor payment activity
    • Month end close processing and reporting requirements
    • Cash activity and reconciliations

3. Audit, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Actively support all internal and ย external audits with a proactive, no-surprises approachย 
  • Ensure readiness and documentation standards meet audit expectations at all times

4. Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify and implement process improvementsย 
  • Support ERP optimization (Epicor/YDS alignment where relevant)ย 
  • Drive standardization aligned with One Yanmar operating modelย 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONSย 

Required

Two-year Accounting or similar degree preferred OR equivalent work experienceย 

Two years progressive accounting experienceย 

Preferredย 

  • Experience in manufacturing or assembly environmentย 
  • ERP experience (Epicor strongly preferred)ย
