Job Title: Junior Program Analyst

Job Description

The Junior Program Analyst serves as a key business partner supporting vehicle program development and Final Assembly Engineering initiatives, with a strong focus on program financials and reporting. The role centers on transforming complex financial and program data into meaningful insights, executive-level reporting, and visual storytelling that drive informed decision-making. The analyst partners closely with cross-functional teams to audit funding utilization, provide financial insights, and enhance visibility into overall program health, while clearly communicating program status, risks, opportunities, and funding needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI and other visualization platforms to provide leadership with clear visibility into program performance, budget utilization, funding status, and key program metrics.
  • Create compelling presentations, visual aids, charts, and storytelling materials that simplify complex financial and operational information for executive audiences.
  • Analyze program budgets, forecasts, actual spend, funding allocations, and financial trends across multiple programs to identify key insights and support decision-making.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, purchasing, manufacturing, IT, and finance teams to collect, validate, and synthesize data from multiple sources into meaningful business insights.
  • Drive program financial reporting, including status updates and executive business reviews, by clearly communicating key messages, risks, variances, and recommendations.
  • Audit funding utilization and spending activity to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and alignment with approved program objectives.
  • Monitor forecasts, commitments, accruals, purchase orders, and funding requirements to proactively identify issues and support timely corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain scorecards, spend curves, trend analyses, and performance metrics that enable leadership to evaluate program health and financial performance.
  • Support project coordination activities related to program financials and reporting, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are accurate and complete.
  • Use strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and ensure stakeholders receive timely and accurate financial information.

Essential Skills

  • 3–5 years of program or finance analyst experience supporting large-scale product development, manufacturing, engineering, IT, or corporate programs.
  • At least 3 years of experience with financial processes, program funding structures, and tracking and reporting of financial performance.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and financial reporting, including budget analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with Ariba, SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
  • Strong skills in Power BI and data analysis to build dashboards and visualizations.
  • Proficiency in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations and other visual communication materials.
  • Understanding of financial planning, accrual management, purchase order processes, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Experience preparing executive-level business reviews and financial status presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, operations, IT, finance, and senior leadership.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Ariba procurement and financial workflows.
  • Automotive industry experience or exposure to vehicle program development.
  • Background in program management or project coordination supporting technical or engineering programs.
  • Advanced data visualization and storytelling skills, including the ability to design clear and engaging charts and dashboards.
  • Comfort presenting to executive audiences and tailoring messages to different stakeholder groups.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
